England Fencing U14 Selections
Congratulations to each of the 8 young fencers selected at each weapon to be in the England Fencing U14 squad for the first selection events of 2023. There are also 2 reserves who will be selected in the order shown if places are not taken up by the fencers who have been selected outright.
The fencers have all earned their selections or reserve places through their outstanding performances in the U14 ranking events during 2022.
A new European Fencing Confederation (EFC) U14 competition circuit has now become a reality and we have chosen one event in each weapon for the selections based on the rankings which closed on 12 December 2022.
Each fencer/ their parent or guardian will have received an email earlier today setting out as much of the detail as we can give them at this stage and asking for them to accept their place. The aim has been to get the selections announced as soon as possible even though two of the events are yet to publish details.
Reserves will receive an email as soon as possible if a place is not taken up.

There has been a mistake with Amber I Mustapha for Premier Sabre Academy U14 Girls Sabre, her ranking has been split and name input twice in the rankings, should be added up and placed once, which will thus place her within the top 15. This is a huge error that requires to be rectified ASAP as this will effect her position for competing for England U14s Sabre in Bulgaria November.
