Head of Representative Fencing Announcement

Beth Davidson, Head of Representative Fencing for England Fencing is stepping down from the role to focus on personal and local projects in the North East of England.

Beth has been part of the England Fencing Board since 2014, stepping into the big shoes of Rodney Francis and undertaking the management of the England teams, rankings and selection events.

Reflecting on her time at England Fencing, Beth says, “Representing England as a fencer, Team Manager and Board Member has been some of my proudest moments! It has given me an opportunity to work with some great people who volunteer their time to organise rankings, coach, manage our squads, organise and referee our competitions! This role needed a refresh and I needed to focus on personal projects and clubs. Thank you to the Board and my fencing colleagues!”

“Beth has been an integral part of the England Fencing Board and wider fencing family. She has always worked tirelessly for all the fencers within England Fencing and has been a key part of many England Fencing successes at Commonwealth and five nation events. Beth was also a key part of the successful hosting of the Commonwealth Cadet and Junior Championships in Newcastle in 2018. We wish her every success in all her future endeavours both in and out of fencing. Thank you, Beth for all you have done.”

Tristan Parris – President England Fencing, and on behalf of the England Fencing Board.
